Got some cash at an ATM, just used my Columbus ATM card. We really did not need cash. Every store, souvenir stand, cab, etc had a tap-capable card reader to pay for things. The bills are quite artful though.
Recycling is taken seriously here. These sets of bins were conveniently available many places.

After Ubering to our Sheraton Hotel in downtown, we took a short walk to lunch. Along the way we saw Auckland City Hall, and Sky Tower.
For lunch Gordon had Sushi, Carol had a burger. There were many choices within 4 blocks of our hotel.
Carol made friends with these local residents. Google says they are Old World Sparrows

We rode a lift to the 52nd floor, for a view of the city. Some heartier folks signed up for bungee jumping off the tower!
