Copenhagen, day 1

Nyhavn -- a waterfront district along a canal connecting Copenhagen Harbor to Kongens Nytorv (pronounced 'kongs new toe'), a major square with a park in the center.  Looking in various travel guides, you see that this is an iconic image for the city. There is night life here.

 

Carved amber items, in a shop specializing in them. Amber jewelry and sculptures are offerred all around the Baltic region.
